Eurobasket

EuroBasket will be the EuroBasket Championship's 41st edition organized by FIBA Europe. This will be the first since it was agreed that the competition would be held every four years, with a qualification system similar to the FIBA Basketball World Cup. Make bets on basketball with bwin.

Eurobasket Betting

Basketball is a team sport but also showcases individual talent. Another reason why basketball is such a well-followed sport is that it involves a lot of teamwork while letting individual talent shine.

The reigning European champions are Slovenia led by NBA stars Luka Doncic and Goran Dragic, who could be making his return to the national team after being voted MVP of the tournament in the last edition.

Other nations with recent success are Spain, which has appeared in the last four finals continuously since 1999 and has won three of the last five titles.

France, Serbia, Greece and Lithuania are also regularly successful and are often in positions to collect a medal.

EuroBasket has plenty of talent

The nations are grouped into four groups of six nations. The group games will all be played in a single venue for each group, and the top four from each group will advance to the next phase. To decide between the tied nations, the head-to-head result will be decisive.

Thus, sixteen nations will meet in direct elimination matches to decide the eight finalists.

The first group phase will serve as a skimming stage with the real competition starting when the matches have more at stake with the possibility of elimination for the weaker teams. The final will be held in Berlin.

With all the European stars playing in the NBA on vacation (all NBA bets), the desire of some of them to participate with their national teams is felt. The pivot of the Utah Jazz team, Rudy Gobert, confirmed in a recent interview that he will be at the Eurobasket representing France with his compatriot, Evan Fournier, guard of the New York Knicks.

Nikola Jokic, star of the Denver Nuggets, could also be present at this European championship for Serbia, but Giannis Antetokounmpo has not yet said whether he will be present for Greece.

Recommended bets on the Eurobasket

The first round of the competition will serve mainly to make adjustments and position teams for the knockout phase. Even with a certain qualification, the European nations will continue to play to avoid being drawn against a tough opponent in the round of 16.

For the group matches, the scores will be higher. A recommended bet on the Eurobasket is to bet on games with a high total of points. We recommend placing live bets between each quarter being guided by the results.
